DONATE

Did you know...

Carers save the economy £132 billion per year

  • Over 3 million people juggle care with work, however the significant demands of caring mean that 1 in 5 carers are forced to give up work altogether

1 in 8 adults (around 6.5 million people) are currently carers

  • Every day another 6,000 people take on a caring responsibility – that equals over 2 million people each year.

People providing high levels of care are twice as likely to be permanently sick or disabled

  • 72% of carers responding to Carers UK's State of Caring Survey said they had suffered mental ill health as a result of caring.

  • 61% said they had suffered physical ill health as a result of caring.

Unpaid carers have access to limited resources and inadequate support, as well as experiencing a lack of awareness and understanding from the community around them. City and Hackney Carers Centre is committed to supporting them so that they do not have to manage alone.

Donate now by heading over to our fundraising page. Your donations help to keep many of our vital services running and help us make sure that carers are supported through their journey.

MAKE A WILL

We are delighted to be partnered with Jones Whyte to provide legal services such as their Will for Charity service, a Will Review service & a special Price Power of Attorney Service.

Make a Will and support City & Hackney Carers Centre

You can choose from 2 levels of service with Jones Whyte – Level 1 is a free online Will service with their partner Wellington Wills, and Level 2 is a meeting with one of their Estate Planning Consultants who will consider your circumstances and recommend the best type of Will for you (a fee will be quoted). They will make a donation of £30 to our Charity when your Will is completed. Please consider making a Gift in your Will for City & Hackney Carers Centre. This will ensure we can continue to offer our valuable service in the future. More information here.

Will Review

You may already have a Will, but is it correct and up to date? Sometimes a Will is sufficient but very often it is not. Get your Will checked before it’s too late. The review is only £150 + VAT. If you need a new Will the fee for the review will go towards the new Will. More information here.
